Day 11 - Colors & Garment critique

Today we started by picking out the best hue wheels and at the same time we tried to think why they were more appealing from the rest and what made them stand out.  I think the wall looked beautiful with those hue wheels. The best ones matched the grey scale very closely while some were very presentable. I usually get very messy with the gauche paints buy  i think im getting better gradually. I love how we are learning more and more about colors and what surprises me is that the colors are in such a huge range that mixing and patience are like your main two formulas to achieve your goal . I loved Paul's hue wheel canvas . We had to create the colors of the swatches we initially created on photoshop . I was surprised how I got most of them correctly. The lesson on color is so fantastic and im sure its gonna help me as its like the basis of every form.

The critique session was really good , everyone got new ideas and I liked everyones opinion for our garment, It will surely help us create a better one. I loved how Frank inspired me to create a clutch as an accessory with the same effect as shown above. I actually thought the sheet looked pretty cool so made an envelope out of it but i guess thats how ideas pop up. Cant wait for MOMA and mondayyy :D
