photoshooooots :)
Tuesday!- We did a black and white painting in which we had to sketch a live model and the background and paint the shadows with black ! It was a crazy looking yet cool painting! Today we started with the most exciting part ; photoshoot. It was so much fun yet tedious . Betsy and Kendra went first . Betsy modelled so professionally that people asked if she was a model ! It was fantastic and we all were so excited that we didnt care about the extremely hot weather! Kendra was the stylist , Wendy did the lighting and I did the photography. It was fun clicking pictures as I love photography and Betsy modelled beautifully! (scroll down ). It was fun walking down the streets and doing a photoshoot at various locations including a fruit shop!
We were lucky cause it started raining right after the shoot! I'm looking forward for the magazine and work with photoshop !
Thursday!- We did live model drawing and perspective for drawing class! It was interesting since Paul told us how to draw without making many lines and by just measuring the distance with a pencil.
Design class was all about photoshop and its effects ! I m hoping to create a good magazine! We had to create a brick of the pictures and style the magazine in rough !

Halfway through ;
Two weeks flew really fast! Today was a lot of fun. Everyone was excited about their complete dresses and we put them high and sketched our garments with the others in the background. It was really cool ! (Even though i messed up one and had to make another )I loved design class today! Photo shoot was amazing. we all had to break into groups of 4 and we decided the tasks which included being the photographer, stylist, makeup artist , model and the lighting person. Roaming around on the streets and doing a photography shoot was actual fun and we met different people staring at us or a criticizing us to take permission :P I m really looking forward for tomorrow :)

Friday Saturday Sunday !
We went to the Museum Of Modern Art ! It was so huge and I loved all the canvases .
Pablo Picasso's work was so exemplary ! and since we did color the whole week i could relate with some of the paintings done in just color and patterns
more of orange inspiration
an accessory with the price tags imprints for garment :)
Intricate colors and the pattern; beautiful
The great Pablo Picasso's work! I liked how Frank told us that its like we see something different in this painting every time we see it . The shades of pink are fantastic!
Pablo Picasso's work . Admire the variations !
I was in New Jersey for the weekend at my aunt's place and I completed the swatches ! It was a tiring weekend as I had to complete the dress. I m glad the team work with my partner Wendy worked and im looking forward for the photoshoot and hope it looks great :)

Day 11 - Colors & Garment critique
Today we started by picking out the best hue wheels and at the same time we tried to think why they were more appealing from the rest and what made them stand out. I think the wall looked beautiful with those hue wheels. The best ones matched the grey scale very closely while some were very presentable. I usually get very messy with the gauche paints buy i think im getting better gradually. I love how we are learning more and more about colors and what surprises me is that the colors are in such a huge range that mixing and patience are like your main two formulas to achieve your goal . I loved Paul's hue wheel canvas . We had to create the colors of the swatches we initially created on photoshop . I was surprised how I got most of them correctly. The lesson on color is so fantastic and im sure its gonna help me as its like the basis of every form.
The critique session was really good , everyone got new ideas and I liked everyones opinion for our garment, It will surely help us create a better one. I loved how Frank inspired me to create a clutch as an accessory with the same effect as shown above. I actually thought the sheet looked pretty cool so made an envelope out of it but i guess thats how ideas pop up. Cant wait for MOMA and mondayyy :D

work work and work!
Today was a tiring yet fun day. The hue board was one task to complete. It took the longest time to match the colors with the gray scale and then at the same time be neat but at the end i loved how it looked! The dress is gradually shaping up and i m really excited for the next week and learn so much more about photography , photoshop and design the magazine like Frank briefed about it to us. We learnt about different kinds of symmetry in the design class and saw various examples which i think were pretty fascinating and I tried to apply it in the bottom part of the dress. I dont think i can go more shopping for the price tags :P but i went to forever 21 and this fabric store where i asked them if they could give me some !
I went looking for more orange color at the construction sites (scroll down)

work
Introduction To The 3 New Terms - 1)Hue
2) Saturation
3)Value
Also we discussed about the different gestalt principles in the designing class.
Making the grey scale and figuring the colors was tedious but I learnt to be patient and aware of the different shades and techniques.
----- > the spraying part was really cool
we are in shortage of price tags so i guess have to find a way out to complete it ! I'm really anxious yet
excited about this dress. Looking forward for the detailing
work on progress ..
